Two prominent Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leaders, Bipin Pradhan and Pramod Rana, have been apprehended by the Boudh police in connection with a ganja smuggling case. Pradhan, the husband of a former Zilla Parishad candidate from Kantamal, and Rana, the husband of the Rengali Sarpanch, were arrested following extensive investigations into the illegal transportation and sale of ganja in Boudh district.

A significant quantity of ganja was seized from the accused, with 8 quintals 37 kg recovered from Pramod Rana's possession.
Both accused are reportedly close aides of former BJD MLA Mahidhar Rana.
The police are conducting further investigations to uncover the full extent of the trafficking operation and identify other individuals involved.
