The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in various parts of Odisha over the next five days due to the formation of multiple low-pressure systems over the Bay of Bengal and the South Andaman Sea. Another low-pressure area is expected to form by October 24.

Agriculture Secretary Dr. Padhi has advised farmers to follow the IMD's advisories to minimize potential damage.
