Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep condolences following the sudden death of Mihir Pradhan, a Class 10 student from Ganjam’s Bagalpur village. In a gesture of support for the bereaved family, the CM announced an ex-gratia of ₹4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
The tragedy struck early Mahashivaratri morning when Mihir, a student at Sri Aurobindo Purnanga Shiksha Kendra, collapsed during a routine morning walk. Despite immediate medical attention at the Khallikote Community Health Center, he was declared brought dead, with a suspected heart attack being cited as the preliminary cause.
While the local community remains in shock, the police have sent the body for an autopsy to confirm the medical findings. The Chief Minister’s timely intervention aims to provide some solace to the devastated family as they navigate this profound loss on a day of national prayer.
