A new era of data collection has arrived as Odisha’s digital census officially kicked off on April 1. Leading by example, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi completed his family’s self-enumeration at his official residence, urging citizens to join this vital nation-building exercise.
Emphasizing that accurate statistics are the backbone of progressive planning, the CM highlighted that Census 2027 is the first to be fully digitalized. This innovative "Self-Enumeration" system allows residents to submit their details securely and conveniently from home.
Citizens have until April 15 to log onto the official portal ($[https://se.census.gov.in](https://se.census.gov.in)$) and participate in this collective campaign for a prosperous Odisha.
Following this initial phase, the Governor has signaled the start of the manual drive. From April 16, trained enumerators will begin door-to-door visits to ensure no one is left behind.
By embracing this digital shift, Odisha aims to create a precise roadmap for future development, ensuring that every citizen’s data contributes to a stronger, more informed state.
