The sacred Rukuna Rath Yatra of Lord Lingaraj commenced today with fervor, though not without a moment of concern.
During the Pahandi rituals, a Bhoi Sevayat, Jatiya Bhoi, was injured after falling from the chariot. He sustained head and leg injuries and was rushed to Hospital; doctors confirm he is currently stable and out of danger.
Despite the accident, the spiritual momentum continues. Following the 10:45 AM procession, the chariot is scheduled to begin its roll at 2:30 PM after the horses are harnessed. The "unbreakable" chariot is expected to reach Rameshwar Temple by 6:30 PM.
To ensure devotee safety and order, the Commissionerate Police have deployed a massive 16-platoon force led by top officials. Security remains tight as lakhs gather to catch a glimpse of the Ekamra Prince on his divine journey.
