A devastating road accident occurred in Kakori, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday evening when a passenger bus carrying around 54 passengers lost control and fell into a 50-feet deep gorge near Tikaitganj. The bus, operated by Kesarbagh depot, was traveling from Hardoi to Lucknow.
According to sources, five people confirmed dead, with identities including Babu Ram (Pilibhit), Nardev (Mathura), Sanjeev (Badayun), Dilshad (Kakori), and one unidentified person.
Over 10 injured, with 19 reported in some accounts; treated at Kakori CHC and trauma center.
The bus reportedly swerved to avoid a tanker, leading to loss of control.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief, directing officials for swift relief; administrative and medical teams on-site.
