A modest relief from the cold wave has lifted night temperatures across the state, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre reported. No major swing is expected in the next four days, though minima may dip 2‑3 °C from current levels.
The forecast, valid until December 6, predicts a dry spell for the first week of December with no rain indicated.
On Friday night, G. Udayagiri recorded 8.3 °C and Semiliguda 9.6 °C, the lowest readings. All other stations stayed above 10 °C: Daringibari and Phulbani 10 °C, Koraput 10.2 °C, Jharsuguda 10.4 °C, Nabarangpur 10.8 °C, Rourkela 11 °C, Chipilika 11.4 °C, Kirei 11.6 °C, Sundargarh 12.2 °C and Keonjhar 12.8 °C. Coastal cities were warmer, with Bhubaneswar at 17.2 °C and Cuttack at 16 °C.
