Mrs. Shashwati Das, Vice President of Education and Research (SOA), emphasized the collective duty to provide every child with love, a safe environment, and opportunities for proper education. She made the remarks while addressing the Children's Day celebration hosted by the SOA Jago Club on Friday.
The event, held on November 14th—the birthday of the first Prime Minister, late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ('Chacha Nehru')—highlighted Jago Club's 18 years of service. Mrs. Das praised the club's work in nutrition, education, and artistic development for children from marginalized sections.
SOA Vice Chancellor Professor Pradeep Kumar Nanda, the guest of honor, urged Jago to emerge as an "awakening" and encouraged students to engage with the social institution for their overall development. Other dignitaries, including Vice-Chancellor Professor Nita Mohanty, also attended the event which concluded with a cultural program by the children.
