Passengers traveling between Bhubaneswar and Brahmapur take note: the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced temporary service cuts due to critical modernization work.
Key Operational Changes
Dates Affected: September 15, 16, and 19
Cancelled Sector: Full MEMU operations between Brahmapur and Khallikote remain suspended.
Train No. 68411 (Bhubaneswar–Brahmapur): Will now terminate at Khallikote instead of continuing to Brahmapur.
Train No. 68412 (Brahmapur–Bhubaneswar): Will originate from Khallikote rather than Brahmapur.
Why the Changes?
The disruptions stem from safety-related infrastructure and modernization upgrades on the Brahmapur–Rambha Down line within the Khurda Road Division.
Travel Advisory: Daily commuters on the Khallikote–Brahmapur stretch will lose direct MEMU access during this period. ECoR strongly urges passengers to check alternative train options and verify live schedules via the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) before heading to the station.
