Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi begins a significant three-day visit to Odisha tomorrow, March 27, blending high-level military reviews with spiritual tributes.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) will land in Bhubaneswar, where he is scheduled to inspect the 120 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) and engage with personnel.
On March 28, the General’s itinerary shifts to the holy city of Puri. Following a stay at the Soldier Sadan, he will visit the Jagannath Temple to seek the blessings of the Lord.
His mission then continues to Gopalpur, where he will evaluate the Army Air Defence College (AADC). Key focus areas include reviewing modern training systems, operational procedures, and interacting with both active officers and ex-servicemen.
Concluding his tour on March 29, General Dwivedi will return to New Delhi. This visit is viewed as a vital step in reinforcing the Army’s regional preparedness and boosting morale across Odisha’s strategic defense hubs.
