Uttam Mohanty, a legendary figure in the Ollywood film industry, has been hospitalized in Bhubaneswar due to serious health issues. He is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a private hospital.
Mohanty's health condition suddenly worsened while he was shooting for a film alongside his wife, actress Aparajita Mohanty, and son Babusan. He was rushed to Bhubaneswar for treatment and has been in the ICU since Friday.
With over 135 Odia films, 30 Bengali films, and one Hindi film under his belt, Mohanty is a household name in Odisha. His family, including his wife and relatives, are by his side, although his son Babusan is currently in Keonjhar for a film shoot.
Reports indicate that Mohanty's condition is critical, and he is on ventilator support . Plans are underway to airlift him to a foreign country for further treatment. Fans and well-wishers have taken to social media to express their support and wishes for his speedy recovery.
