BJP State In-charge D. Purandeswari has concluded a high-stakes two-day visit to Odisha, focused on strengthening the party's grassroots organization ahead of the upcoming Panchayat and municipal elections.
During her visit, Purandeswari held crucial closed-door, one-on-one sessions with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, State President Manmohan Samal, cabinet ministers, and senior office-bearers. Discussions centered on evaluating the party's regional standing, countering opposition narratives, and formulating a robust blueprint to capture Panchayat leadership.
However, the political battleground is heating up. The opposition BJD has launched aggressive month-long padyatras to mobilize rural support, challenging the ruling party's ground presence. Meanwhile, the Congress has criticized the BJP’s governance, claiming waning public trust and predicting a rejection of ruling schemes in the upcoming polls.
As the opposition mounts its offensive, the BJP's leadership is tightening its internal coordination and strategy to maintain its momentum in the state.
