The power-packed session saw the attendance of Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, Deputy CM KV Singhdeo, and Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram, alongside state in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar.
With the Rajya Sabha elections scheduled for March 16, the primary agenda focuses on finalizing candidates for the two seats currently within the BJP’s reach in Odisha. Sources indicate that the committee is vetting potential names to be forwarded to the Central Parliamentary Board for final approval.
Beyond the legislative race, the leadership is reportedly deliberating on the long-awaited appointments for chairpersons of various state boards and corporations. As the party looks to consolidate its organizational grip, today’s deliberations are expected to set the roadmap for the BJP's representation in the Upper House and its administrative footprint across the state.
