The Commissionerate Police has dismantled a major drug syndicate, arresting three members of the "Khan Brothers" gang for trafficking "white poison." The accused—Sameer Khan, Irshad Ahmed, and Muna Khan—were apprehended by the Special Crime Unit following a targeted raid in the Jaleswar area of Balasore.
Police Commissioner S. Devdutt Singh confirmed the seizure of 370 grams of brown sugar, valued at approximately ₹37 lakh. Additionally, two motorcycles and four mobile phones used in the trade were confiscated.
The gang allegedly sourced the contraband from Jaleswar to supply various peddlers across the capital city. While the prime suspects are in custody, officials have kept specific details of the supply chain confidential as the investigation continues. This operation marks a significant blow to the narcotics network targeting local youth.
