Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi made an unexpected visit to Rajiv Bhavan on Friday morning at 10:15 a.m. to conduct a surprise inspection of the Water Resources Department.
The stated goal of the visit was to monitor the punctuality and work ethic of government officials. Accompanied by the Development Commissioner, the Chief Minister toured the entire department, including official chambers and the conference room.
He also inspected the State Hydrological Data Center, receiving updates on the status of dams and water levels across the state.
The Chief Minister praised the department's work and directed them to operate in a "mission mode" to achieve the target of irrigating 15 lakh hectares of land. As the Departmental Minister, he also advised maximizing water conservation efforts and ensuring the office operates smartly and efficiently.
