Sambalpur Women’s College is engulfed in controversy following serious allegations against English professor Dr. Patrambar Behera. Students accuse Behera of using obscene language, intimidation, and even unauthorized recording of the department head, Manaswini Parida.

Public suspicion intensified after both Behera and Parida were abruptly transferred to different districts. Critics, including the organization 'Progressive Sambalpur' and concerned parents, argue that a transfer is not a punishment for sexual harassment and misconduct.

While the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) has launched a probe and a police complaint has been filed, protesters allege the administration is merely "shuffling" the problem rather than ensuring accountability.

This escalating situation has sparked a heated debate over student safety, with many demanding a full judicial inquiry. The case serves as a grim reminder that educational institutions must prioritize rigorous justice over administrative convenience to protect their students.
