A joint raid by the Keonjhar Forest Department and police has resulted in the arrest of two individuals for the illegal sale of a tiger skin. The accused were apprehended near Judia Ghati while attempting to finalize a deal for the contraband.
The two men have been identified as Rabindra Tudu and Manua Hemram. According to officials, they were arrested after a joint team received intelligence about a potential wildlife trafficking deal.
A striped tiger skin was seized during the raid. Sources indicate that the tiger was allegedly hunted in the Thakurmunda area before the attempt was made to sell its skin near Keonjhar.
Following their arrest, the Forest Department presented the two accused in court. The seizure highlights ongoing efforts by authorities to combat illegal wildlife poaching and trade in the region.
