Paradip: The grand Kalinga Baliyatra festival is set to begin today at Paradip beach, with preparations now complete. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will inaugurate the event as the chief guest. This was confirmed by Industries Minister Sampada Swain. The festival is scheduled to run from today until the 10th of next month.
Ahead of the Chief Minister's visit, a law and order review and cyber crime awareness program was held on Monday at Jaydev Sadan. Police DIG Satyajit Nayak flagged off a cyber awareness chariot.
District Magistrate J. Sonal and Superintendent of Police Ankit Burma, alongside the DIG, reviewed security arrangements and stressed the importance of public vigilance against cyber crime. The successful preparatory session was attended by officers from all district police stations.
