A frantic search for a missing bride took a dramatic turn after she was discovered safe at Nirakarpur railway station, debunking her in-laws' claims that she had drowned.
The woman, married just two months ago to Rabindra Champati, was reported missing on Saturday after allegedly failing to return from a bath at the river. Fearing foul play, her father, Ramachandra Samantraya, filed a police complaint alleging murder. This sparked an overnight rescue operation involving the ODRAF team and local police.
However, the "drowning" theory collapsed Sunday morning when police located the bride at the station. Her sudden reappearance in a different location has raised serious suspicions regarding the family's initial claims.
Police have since detained the woman for questioning to uncover the truth behind her disappearance. Further investigation into potential domestic disputes or a staged missing report is currently underway.
