The Odisha government has made significant strides in healthcare by implementing the Ayushman Yojana, providing financial protection to millions of residents. With 3.44 crore people given Ayushman cards, Odisha ranks second in the number of beneficiaries across the country.
3 crore 44 lakh 72 thousand 237 people in Odisha have been given Ayushman cards, entitling them to health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per family annually.
In the last three months, 2.62 lakh people have received medical benefits under the scheme, while the same number of people have received Ayushman Yojana benefits.
Odisha has also achieved a remarkable milestone in the Lakhpati Didi initiative, generating 14.41 lakh beneficiaries and surpassing all other states in India.
The Ayushman Yojana provides health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per family annually, with additional coverage of ₹5 lakh for female members.
Over 29,000 hospitals across India are empanelled under the scheme, offering cashless treatment to beneficiaries.
The Ayushman Yojana was launched in Odisha on April 11, 2025, by the new BJP government, marking a significant step towards improving healthcare accessibility.
Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda distributed Ayushman cards, symbolizing the government's commitment to providing healthcare benefits to the masses.
