Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi released ₹1,025 crore under the CM-KISAN Yojana on Akshaya Tritiya, benefiting around 50.16 lakh farmers across the state. The funds were directly transferred to farmers' bank accounts, reinforcing the state's commitment to agricultural development and rural welfare.


Key Highlights:


- Financial Assistance: Small and marginal farmers will receive ₹4,000 annually in two installments, while landless agricultural households will get ₹12,500 in three installments.

- New Inclusion: For the first time, 25,000 urban farmers are included in the scheme, extending financial support beyond traditional rural farming communities.

- Scheme Objective: The CM-KISAN Yojana aims to provide timely financial assistance, helping farmers invest in essential resources for their crops and strengthening the agricultural economy.

- Beneficiaries: The scheme benefits around 46 lakh farmers, including landless ones, who were previously outside the ambit of the PM-Kisan Yojana.
