Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to embark on a high-profile, one-day visit to Cuttack on Monday to inaugurate several key development projects.
The highlight of his itinerary is the grand inauguration of the revamped Cuttack Chandi Temple, which has undergone a massive modernization costing approximately ₹70 crore. The upgraded shrine now boasts a stone boundary wall with four gateways, a pilgrim rest house, a Yajna Mandap, a discourse hall, modern lighting, CCTV surveillance, and expanded parking facilities.
During his packed schedule, CM Majhi will also unveil a statue of Kalindi Charan Panigrahi near Gadgadia Ghat and inspect the 'Cuttack-in-Cuttack' site at the Bali Yatra grounds. In the afternoon, after a brief halt at the Circuit House, he will visit the SCB Medical College campus to review ongoing infrastructure expansions, focusing closely on the fast-paced construction at Clinical Blocks 1 and 4.
Local administration and contracting agencies have stepped up preparations on a war footing ahead of the Chief Minister's arrival.
