In a major boost to accessible education, the Odisha government has approved free bus travel for school students under the Chief Minister’s Bus Service Scheme. The initiative, spearheaded by the School and Mass Education Department, aims to significantly reduce dropout rates by easing the daily commute for children.
The Transport Department confirmed that the service will apply to both AC and non-AC buses. To avail of the benefit, students must travel in school uniform and present a valid identity card.
