At the state-level World Water Day in Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi underscored water as a precious lifeblood, launching projects worth ₹2,612 crore. This includes laying foundation stones for 17 major initiatives and dedicating 124 completed projects to the public.

Aligning with the theme "Water and Gender," the CM emphasized empowering women in water management and training them for quality testing. He hailed the Jal Jeevan Mission as a revolutionary step toward universal piped water access. Key highlights of the roadmap include:

Future Vision: Aiming for irrigation intensity of 220% by 2036 and 250% by 2047.

Innovation: Launch of "Bindu," an AI-powered chatbot for citizen feedback, and the opening of the "Kaalik" Child Care Centre.

Conservation: Promotion of the "More Crop Per Drop" mantra and groundwater recharge via "Chata" and "RUA" schemes.

Urging students to become "future water soldiers," the CM reaffirmed the state's commitment to the Antyodaya policy, ensuring clean water reaches the most remote households.
