Odisha’s ₹4,112 Crore Industrial Surge: 23 Projects to Create 10,000 Jobs

In a major push for the "Prosperous Odisha 2036" vision, the state government has greenlit 23 investment proposals worth ₹4,111.80 crore. Chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, the 144th Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) approved these projects, which are set to generate 9,924 jobs across 11 districts.


Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the state is aggressively diversifying its industrial base. The approvals span high-growth sectors, including aerospace, defense, shipbuilding, and textiles.


Key Industrial Highlights:

Employment Leaders: JG Hosiery in Khurda will create 2,350 jobs (investment: ₹100 crore), while InventGrid India will set up a multi-drone hub in Ganjam, adding 1,000 jobs.


Strategic Infrastructure: NIFA Limited will establish a ₹384 crore railway equipment unit, and Northern Express Infradevelopers will boost the maritime sector with a ₹339 crore shipbuilding facility in Bhadrak.


Heavy Industry & Tourism: Sundargarh will host a ₹600 crore iron ore plant by Kalinga Metals. Additionally, the hospitality sector will see four and five-star hotels in Puri and Khurda.


This expansion across districts like Koraput, Sambalpur, and Balasore ensures balanced regional development, cementing Odisha’s status as Eastern India’s premier investment hub.
