Odisha Police has concluded its month-long special drive, "Operation Cyber Kavach," yielding massive success against digital predators. From February 13 to March 12, the initiative targeted the "mule" bank accounts and fake SIM networks that anchor global cyber fraud.

Major Achievement Highlights:

Mule Accounts: 39,714 suspicious bank accounts were verified.

Arrests: 379 individuals were arrested for roles in mule syndicates, fake SIM rackets, and illegal ATM/cheque withdrawals.

Legal Action: Notices were issued to 7,549 suspected account holders and their accomplices.

DGP Y.B. Khurania revealed that the crackdown exposed massive financial crimes across districts. Notable busts included a ₹29.33 crore network in Cuttack and a national syndicate in Bhubaneswar that utilized pre-activated SIMs and luxury vehicles.

In Jharsuguda, an interstate gang was found managing transactions worth ₹12 crore.

This operation succeeded through a tech-driven collaboration between the CID Crime Branch, banking units, and the Ministry of Home Affairs' I4C unit.

By dismantling these financial infrastructures, the Odisha Police has struck a decisive blow against online betting, crypto-scams, and hawala traders, marking a significant step toward a safer digital Odisha.
