The forest department is in mourning following the sudden demise of Saubhagya Ranjan Sahu, the Divisional Forest Officer (Wildlife) of Chandbali. The 59-year-old veteran officer suffered a fatal heart attack while performing his duties at the office today.
Though he was rushed to the hospital immediately after feeling unwell, doctors tragically declared him brought dead. A resident of Rajkanika Barunadia in Kendrapara district, Sahu was highly respected for his dedicated service to wildlife conservation.
As news of his untimely passing spread, a wave of grief swept through the Bhadrak and Kendrapara regions.
His sudden departure leaves a significant void in the Odisha Forest Service, with colleagues and locals alike mourning the loss of a committed public servant.
