The academic community is in mourning following the demise of Prof. R.N.P. Choudhary, an eminent researcher and Emeritus Professor at SOA’s ITER. The 80-year-old scholar passed away on Sunday after a prolonged illness.
A distinguished alumnus of the University of Edinburgh, Prof. Choudhary previously served as the Head of Physics at IIT Kharagpur. His pioneering work in dielectric and ferroelectric materials earned him a consistent spot on Stanford University’s prestigious list of the world’s top 2% researchers in Applied Physics.
SOA Founder President Prof. Manojranjan Nayak and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda expressed deep condolences, describing his passing as an irreparable loss to global research.
Survived by his wife and three children, Prof. Choudhary leaves behind a legacy of excellence as an educator and mentor who shaped the future of higher education in India.
