A powerful wave of patriotism swept across Odisha today as students, teachers, and educators gathered to sing ‘Vande Mataram’ in unison. Marking the 150th anniversary of the iconic national song, the collective recital took place across all schools, colleges, and universities in the state.
Organized following a directive from the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department, the event aimed to instill a deep sense of national pride. Beyond the song, students took the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Swadeshi Sankalpa,’ pledging their commitment to a self-reliant India.
To ensure the success of the initiative, a statewide ‘Vande Mataram Training Program’ was previously conducted, preparing thousands of students for this synchronized celebration. This massive educational milestone was coordinated through the School and Mass Education and Higher Education Departments, transforming campuses into hubs of cultural and patriotic fervor.
