A security scare unfolded at Utkal University today when an unidentified youth attempted to intercept Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The incident occurred as the CM arrived to attend a Youth Day function on the campus.
As Chief Minister Majhi stepped out of his vehicle and headed toward the venue, the youth suddenly breached the security cordon, carrying a piece of paper in his hand. Alert security personnel immediately intervened, overpowering and detaining the individual before he could reach the CM.
The youth's identity and motives remain unknown, as authorities have not yet clarified whether he intended to submit a grievance or stage a protest. He is currently in police custody for interrogation. While the event proceeded as scheduled, the breach has raised concerns regarding protocol during high-profile public appearances.
