The countdown is almost over. In just a few moments, the Chaturdhamurti will descend from the Ratnasinhasan of the Srimandir to Badadanda. Lakhs of eager devotees from across the globe have gathered, waiting to witness this historic, ecstatic union between the Lord of the Universe and His people.
Preparations for the world-famous Rath Yatra are in their final, thrilling stages. Following the traditional Rath Kala rituals, the three grand chariots have been successfully lined up in front of the Singhadwara, facing the Gundicha temple.
Initiated by the sacred procession of the Puja Pandas, the chariots were moved amidst the resonant ringing of ceremonial bells. Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosha led the way, pulled by the Bhoi servitors and security personnel to the deafening chants of ‘Haribol’.
Soon after, the chariots of Goddess Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra followed, standing ready at the gates. The air is thick with devotion—the grand journey is about to begin.
