Supreme Court Chief Justice, Justice Surya Kant, arrived in Odisha today for his first visit since assuming office. Upon landing at the airport, he was formally welcomed by the state's Law Minister, Prithviraj Harichandan.
Justice Surya Kant initially attended a public program organized at Shaheed Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
Later in the day, the Chief Justice traveled to Cuttack to participate in a special seminar hosted by the High Court Bar Association. The event includes a significant ceremony to felicitate senior lawyers who have completed more than 50 years of practice.
His presence highlights the importance of the Odisha High Court and its legal community, marking a notable occasion for the state's judiciary.
