A violent clash between the Ashok and Ambedkar Hostels transformed the prestigious BJB Autonomous College campus into a "war zone" last night.

The conflict, reportedly sparked when Ambedkar Hostel students called the police to shut down a late-night DJ party at Ashok Hostel, escalated into a brutal hour-long riot.

Armed with glass bottles, sticks, and stones, rival groups engaged in heavy pelting, leaving more than 25 students injured. Many sustained severe head trauma and are currently receiving treatment at Capital Hospital.

The situation remains tense as police units are deployed across the campus to prevent further escalation.

While the authorities have restored a fragile peace, a joint investigation by the college administration and local police is underway to identify the primary instigators.

This shocking breakdown of discipline has raised serious concerns regarding safety and supervision within the capital’s leading educational institution.
