An eight-member central team from Delhi has arrived at Bhubaneswar Airport to evaluate the destruction caused by Cyclone 'Arnab'.
The delegation will begin formal discussions tomorrow morning with Odisha’s Chief Secretary and senior officials from various departments. This briefing will cover ground realities, the overall impact on affected regions, and ongoing state-led relief and restoration initiatives.
To ensure a comprehensive evaluation, the committee will split into two sub-teams. Their ground inspection will kick off in the Ganjam district before expanding to other severely impacted regions. Working closely with local officials, the team aims to gather a realistic assessment of the catastrophe.
This critical visit is expected to pave the way for the final damage report and subsequent central assistance for the state's recovery.
