A major railway accident late last night disrupted the Delhi-Howrah main line after twelve bogies of a cement-laden goods train derailed on the Bathua River Bridge in Bihar. In a harrowing scene near Telba Bazaar, three of the wagons plunged directly into the river, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The train was en route from Jasidih to Jhajha when it lost balance near bridge number 676. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. However, the impact has brought rail traffic between Jasidih and Jhajha to a complete standstill, affecting several long-distance services.

Senior railway officials, RPF, and local police have rushed to the site to initiate a massive salvage operation. While rescue teams work to clear the tracks, authorities are investigating the cause of the derailment. Passengers are advised to check for diversions as restoration work continues.
