Two individuals were arrested from Bhadrak district in connection with a cyber fraud case, prompting a reaction from Bhadrak SP Manoj Raut regarding their link to a recent incident in Delhi.
The SP clarified that the arrested youths have no connection with the Delhi car blast case.
The arrests stem from an online fraud involving a SIM card purchased without proper documentation from Santosh Khandei's shop by a person from Cuttack. This SIM was then used in a 'digital arrest' scam targeting an individual in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area.
While two people were initially arrested for the fraud, one was later released on bail. SP Raut confirmed that Delhi Police have provided clear information to local authorities, confirming the case is strictly a matter of cyber fraud.
