A wave of panic has gripped Patpur village in Jajpur after more than 30 people, including six children, fell critically ill after consuming dahibara from a local vendor. The victims reported severe stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea shortly after eating the popular snack yesterday.
Due to the rising number of patients and a shortage of beds at the Dasharathpur Community Health Center, the sick have been shifted to Jajpur Medical College for urgent treatment.
Current Situation:
Medical Response: CDMO Vijay Kumar Mishra is personally supervising the situation at the hospital.
Investigation: The Health Department has launched a probe into the food quality and hygiene of the Tulatiya Sahi-based vendor.
Village Status: A sense of fear prevails as officials collect samples to determine the exact cause of the outbreak.
Authorities urge citizens to be cautious regarding street food hygiene as the investigation continues.
