In a landmark move for rural infrastructure, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and CM Mohan Charan Majhi launched the fourth phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) from Rayagada. This phase marks a massive investment of ₹1,698 crore to construct 827 new roads, fulfilling Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision of universal village connectivity.


Minister Chouhan hailed the "Double Engine" government’s progress, emphasizing that PM Modi has opened both the "doors of his heart and Delhi" for Odisha’s development. Beyond roads, the initiative aims to uplift every household, supported by an additional ₹147 crore for pending projects and ₹868 crore approved under the MGNREGA scheme to empower laborers.
