Mild tremors were recently felt across the Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts, causing panic among local residents who rushed out of their homes.
On Wednesday evening between 7:40 pm and 7:45 pm, a strong tremor lasting two to three seconds shook Kalahandi, causing furniture to vibrate. A similar tremor was reported the following day in the Jharigaon area of Nabarangpur district at around 7:50 pm, lasting for a brief two to three seconds.
Witnesses noted that household items and market merchandise shook, leading residents to rush to safety in fear. Fortunately, there are no reports of casualties, injuries, or property damage from either area.
While the exact magnitude on the Richter scale remains unconfirmed by officials, the local administration is actively monitoring the situation across both districts to ensure the safety of the public.
