Dense fog in Northern India has triggered massive travel disruptions at Biju Patnaik International Airport, leading to multiple flight cancellations and an emergency landing. Air India Express cancelled three key services: the 9:45 AM and 3:20 PM flights to Delhi, and the 11:10 AM flight to Kochi.

The sudden cancellations left hundreds of passengers stranded, sparking heated protests and a tense standoff outside the terminal. Travelers expressed deep frustration over the lack of timely communication from the airline.

Simultaneously, an Air India flight from Mumbai to Varanasi was diverted to Bhubaneswar for an emergency landing after heavy fog made landing in Varanasi impossible. While the airline is reportedly making accommodation arrangements for diverted passengers, local travelers remain in limbo.

Airport authorities have warned that schedules may remain volatile if visibility issues persist in the national capital.
