Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has unveiled a massive developmental package to transform Berhampur into a world-class "Greater Berhampur City." Speaking at the annual festival of Nilakant Nagar Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, the CM emphasized that Ganjam is the "lifeblood" of South Odisha's progress.

Connectivity: A massive ₹6,000 crore 6-lane highway connecting Berhampur to Jaipur.
Urban Expansion: Allocation of ₹52.17 crore for 10 internal city roads and the implementation of Town Planning (TP) schemes.
Lifestyle: The creation of dedicated "Food Streets" to celebrate the city’s culinary heritage.
The Chief Minister has directed the District Administration to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) to expand urban infrastructure and improve the "ease of living." Ministers Gokulanand Malik and Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, along with several local MLAs, attended the event, marking a new chapter for Ganjam’s industrial and urban growth.
