Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has commenced a significant three-day visit to Odisha, focusing on operational readiness and spiritual heritage. The itinerary balances high-level military reviews with traditional observances across Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Gopalpur.
The General began his tour at the 120 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) in Bhubaneswar to oversee local activities. On March 28, he will travel to Puri to offer prayers at the Shree Jagannath Temple, seeking blessings at the historic shrine before departing via the Talabonia helipad.
The final leg of his journey takes him to the Army Air Defence College (AADC) in Gopalpur. Here, General Dwivedi will review cutting-edge training systems, modern weaponry, and operational protocols. Crucially, he will interact with both active-duty officers and ex-servicemen to discuss strategic preparedness.
