Democratic fervor has gripped the legal community as voting commences for 155 affiliated bar associations across Odisha. The polling process, which began at 7:30 am, follows the strict "one bar, one vote" mandate to ensure transparency and fairness.
While the majority of the state participates, the Sundargarh, Umarkot, and Jatni associations have been excluded due to administrative reasons. In the High Court Bar Association, candidates are vying for key positions, including President, Vice President, and Treasurer.
To maintain integrity, the entire proceedings are being videographed, with footage sent directly to the Odisha State Bar Council. Voting concludes at 3:00 pm, followed by counting at 4:00 pm. With results expected by tonight, the legal fraternity eagerly awaits its new leadership.
