Ram Navami marks the birth of Lord Shri Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, born in the Treta Yuga to King Dasharatha of Ayodhya. Falling on the ninth day of Chaitra Shukla Paksha, this festival celebrates the arrival of the "Maryada Purushottam," born under the Cancer sign to vanquish the demon-king Ravana.

The day serves as a powerful symbol of the victory of good over evil. Across India—and most vibrantly in Ayodhya—devotees observe nine days of Bhajans and Akhand Ramcharitmanas recitations.

To honor the deity, many observe a strict fast until sunset, concluding with a sacred Bhog of Panchamrut, Shrikhand, and Halwa. More than just a birthday, Ram Navami is a spiritual reminder of righteousness, power, and unwavering devotion.
