Continuing his three-day visit, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi offered prayers at Puri’s Shree Jagannath Temple early Saturday morning.
Arriving at 7:00 am, he was traditionally welcomed at the Singhadwara before spending 45 minutes in the sanctum sanctorum. The General also visited the Mukti Mandap and the temple kitchen, receiving the Lord’s sacred flag.
Following his spiritual stop, General Dwivedi transitioned to military engagements, traveling via the Talbonia helipad to the Gopalpur Military Station. At the Army Air Defence College (AADC), he is set to review advanced training infrastructure and receive operational briefings.
The high-profile itinerary includes interacting with veterans and witnessing live firing demonstrations, underscoring the visit's dual focus on cultural heritage and national security.
This follows his Friday arrival in Bhubaneswar, where he stayed with the 120th Infantry Battalion and met Governor Kambham Pati.
