Bhubaneswar’s Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) has reached a new global milestone, securing a spot in the 701-850 band of the QS World University Rankings 2026 for Life Sciences and Medicine.
This achievement underscores the university's growing influence in international academic and research circles.
The news follows a streak of domestic success. In the 2025 NIRF rankings, SOA’s faculty of medicine—the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and SUM Hospital—ranked 15th in India. The university itself secured the 15th spot in the overall university category, highlighting its consistent excellence.
Since its inception in 2005, IMS and SUM Hospital has become a cornerstone of healthcare in Eastern India. By blending affordable care with cutting-edge medical technology and a team of top-tier experts, the institution has solidified its reputation as a premier destination for patient care and medical education.
These rankings reflect SOA’s steadfast commitment to elevating healthcare standards on both a national and global scale.
