A pivotal turn has occurred in the sensational ₹20 crore gold robbery case. The Cuttack JMFC court has granted the Karnataka Police a 7-day remand of hardcore criminal Raja Sahni, scheduled from the 9th to the 15th of next month.
Currently held under 24-hour high-security surveillance at Chaudwar Jail, Sahni’s movements are monitored by a special team and double CCTV coverage. The jail administration is also seeking his transfer to either Bhubaneswar or Berhampur for further security.
Interrogators hope to crack the complex network behind the massive loot and locate the remaining suspects.
This cross-border police collaboration is expected to unearth deep-seated secrets of the heist that had baffled investigators for six months.
