The 3-day 2nd International Extension Education Congress 2025 (IEC 2025) commenced at the College of Agriculture, Campus-4, SOA, with the theme 'Rethinking Social Ecology in a Digital Landscape'. The event is a joint initiative of the Society of Extension Education (SEE), Agra, and the Central University of Odisha, Koraput.
SOA Vice Chancellor Professor Pradeep Kumar Nanda, the Chief Guest, highlighted the congress's value for agricultural research. The inaugural function featured discussions by various university Vice Chancellors on how technology connects environment offline and online, and the impact of climate change.
The event marked the unveiling of the logo for the 25th anniversary of the Indian Research Journal of Extension Education (IRJEE). Highlights included the conferral of the Lifetime Achievement Award on Dr. Anithakumari P. and the SEE Fellow Award on IAS Dean Professor Santosh Kumar Rout.
