Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan has urged Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari to personally intervene for the urgent repair of the critical Sambalpur-Angul-Cuttack stretch on National Highway-55.
In his appeal, Pradhan highlighted that continuous downpours and heavy traffic have created hazardous potholes, severe waterlogging, and road collapses. These dangerous conditions jeopardize thousands of daily commuters and freight transporters while fueling frequent, frustrating traffic jams.
Because water-filled potholes pose a severe accident hazard during the monsoon season, swift rehabilitation is essential. Pradhan emphasized that restoring this crucial trade and transport artery is vital to safeguarding passenger lives and ensuring the uninterrupted movement of essential goods across the state.
