The mystery surrounding the brutal murder of car driver Satyabrata Pradhan in Niladri Vihar reached a breakthrough as the prime accused, Dinesh Nayak, surrendered at the Jagatsinghpur Sadar police station.
The investigation reveals a deadly love triangle involving Satyabrata, Dinesh, and a woman named Lisa Kandi. Despite both men being married with children, they were reportedly in a relationship with Lisa. Tensions peaked when Lisa discovered Satyabrata’s marital status, leading to a violent confrontation.
CCTV footage capturing the final moments shows Satyabrata fleeing after a knife attack, followed by two individuals suspected to be Dinesh and Lisa. The Commissionerate Police, who have already taken Lisa into custody, interrogated Dinesh following his surrender.
Dinesh, a resident of Balikuda, is set to be produced in court today. The police believe the murder was a premeditated act to "eliminate" the romantic rival, with the body later dumped in the Chandrasekharpur area.
